How to Learn More About Lean Product Development
To help you explore whether and how lean product development can help you get your ideas to market faster, we offer a number of learning opportunities:
- The Lean Product Development Resource Center is a free information center for lean product developers. It includes more than 150 articles, examples and templates to accelerate your learning about lean product development.
- Master Classes are one-time-only sessions that dive deeply into one aspect of lean product development. Past Master Classes have included Reusable Knowledge, Building Sponsorship for Lean Product Development, and How to Write Your First A3 Report.
- Self Study and Private Classes give you the opportunity to learn the basics of LPD with Katherine as your personal guide. Our current offerings include Lean PD for Front End Product Development.
- Web Classes meet for four to six sessions by web conference, for public and private groups. Our past offerings have included Maximizing Flow in the Knowledge Creation Value Stream, Effective Decision-making for Lean Organizations and Convergent Decision-making with SBCE.
- LAMDA Cards remind product developers about the steps of the LAMDA cycle, which is the systematic problem-solving method that is optimized for lean product developers.
We are still in the process of migrating our Store from our old web site to this new one. Check back later this week for more information on these offerings.
Each week, I publish a new Knowledge Brief to the Lean Product Development Resource Center.

Katherine Radeka helped us greatly with planning and executing the transformation of our product development system by taking a holistic approach to improving the effectiveness of the PD process as a company-wide activity rather than just focusing on one functional department. She led us through the reflection of the current state and facilitated the identification of key areas for improvement, the front end process being essential to ensure the right selection of PD projects for chartering and execution. Katherine also assisted us successfully in selecting and customizing basic lean tools to match our specific needs in the implementation of the company lean product & process development system.

What we liked about Katherine is that she first tried to understand what our needs are in terms of possibly transforming the system into more lean and more productive, effective product development.
